Apple has released another beta of macOS Mojave for testing on the Mac before a release to the general public this fall. While there isn’t much new in the beta, the new build does add support for Apple’s lineup of 2018 MacBook Pros. The laptops were initially introduced last week with True Tone displays, faster processors, better spec options, and quieter keyboards. Now, you can test the next release of the computers’ operating system by enrolling your Mac in the beta program.
For everyone who’s already enrolled in the beta program, to install macOS Mojave beta 4, head over to the System Preferences section of the Settings app. From there, hit “Software Update” and you should spot the upgraded build ready to be download. Hit download and wait for it to finish installing. You’ll want to plug in your MacBook before installing the beta to ensure you don’t run out of juice. Otherwise, sit back and be patient.
macOS Mojave packs lots of features that are friendly to both casual and professional users. It includes a system-wide dark mode, Stacks for organizing your files on your desktop, improvements to the built-in Finder, improvements to screenshots, group FaceTime calls, Metal 2, and more. It’s a pretty significant overall upgrade that will only get better as we draw closer to its final release.
