You Can Now Actually Work As a Team in Apple’s iWork

As part of their big September 2016 iPhone 7 event today, Apple told everyone that as a forthcoming update to their productivity suite, real-time collaboration on documents such as slide shows, spreadsheets, PDFs, and more will be coming to iWork. Apple demoed this new way of collaborating live on-stage today in a gutsy move by editing the actual keynote presentation’s slide show.

Users on the Mac, iPhone, iPad, and the web will be able to work together on documents open in Pages, Keynote, and Numbers, while I’m sure plenty of users are applauding Apple on (finally) bringing this feature to their own platform since the feature has been pretty exclusive to other services such as Google Drive and even Microsoft’s suite of apps. This new add-on to the company’s software indicates that they’re somewhat dedicated to bringing a nice, productive workspace for teams to work from in order to get important work done.

No word on when this feature will arrive yet, however we suspect it’ll come around the 20th of this month as that’s the date macOS Sierra will launch.
