Xiaomi today announced their latest addition to the company’s RedMi Note handset lineup, the RedMi Note 4. This smartphone amongst many others features flagship-level specifications with a very slim price tag…
Before we get to the cost, let’s talk specs. The RedMi Note 4 features a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD display, a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor clocked in at 2.1GHz paired with a Mali-T880 MP4 GPU, 2GB of RAM with 16GB of storage or 3GB of RAM with 64GB of storage, a microSD card slot for cards up to 256GB, a 13MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus and dual-LED flash, a 5MP front camera, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, a fingerprint sensor, a microUSB connector for charging and data transfer, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and a massive 4100mAh battery which will no doubt get you through a full day’s worth of use. All in all, these specifications make for a great, capable smartphone that should no doubt impress you, especially when you see the price.
Xiaomi will only be charging RMB 899 (around $135) for the RedMi Note 4. Mind you, this price is assigned to the 2GB RAM, 16GB storage model, but it’s nevertheless really cheap. To top things off, you’ll only have to pay RMB 1,199 (around $180) for the model with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. So either way you go, you won’t certainly be paying a fortune.
The RedMi Note 4 will first be sold in China exclusively, while other markets like India should be included in the availability list soon. Color options include Silver, Gold, and Dark Gray. We’ll let you know if the phone ever makes it to somewhere more local like the USA or United Kingdom, however I doubt either of those locations will ever get the handset if history is of any indication.
