Verizon today has quietly begun selling the Mophie Juice Pack Moto Mod on it’s website. The accessory, one that magnetically attaches to Lenovo’s Moto Z, Z Force, and Z Play, is available for preorder for $79.99 with orders beginning to ship November 28th.
Getting into the nitty gritty, the Mophie Juice Pack Moto Mod packs in a 3000mAh battery inside it’s enclosure which can provide up to 60% more power when compared to the Z’s built-in cell. Four LED lights on the back indicate how much juice is left in the Mod, while a flat design rather a rounded one like the Incipio battery pack is featured which, more or less, should fit nicely in one’s hand and especially in one’s pocket.
To charge, simply attach the Mod to the back of the Z and plug your charger into the USB-C connector on the bottom of the phone. I’ll admit, this always takes a long time since fast charging isn’t present for Mods (at least according to my experience with the Incipio battery pack), so you may wanna do this overnight rather 10 minutes before you leave.
Currently, it’s unknown if Verizon will be the only retailer of the Mophie Juice Pack Moto Mod, but we’ll let you know if any new information or insight is gained regarding this matter. For now, click here to preorder the accessory.
