Verizon and Sprint have announced their pricing and availability information for LG’s newest flagship, the G7 ThinQ. This comes a couple of days after T-Mobile unveiled how much it would charge for the G7 on its network.
For starters, Sprint says it’ll charge $33/month for a G7 on its network with $0 down. When you do the math, it adds up to a whopping $792, $42 more than what the phone costs on T-Mobile. Sprint will give you a second G7 if you open two new lines on its network in the form of monthly bill credits, but I’m not sure if paying the amount of money you do for a single G7 is actually worth it.
For Verizon customers, you’ll be paying $31.25/month for 24 months with $0 down, adding up to $750. As a special offer, when you pick up the G7 at Big Red, you’ll get $100 off in the form of monthly bill credits, therefore lowering the overall cost to $650. Many will argue this is how much the phone should cost in the first place, so at least you’ll be able to get it for a more reasonable price somewhere. Plus, the offer is valid with other deals like trade-ins.
While Sprint will open preorders for the G7 on Friday, May 25th, Verizon says it’ll open preorders for the device tomorrow, May 24th. Sprint says the G7 will formally land on its network June 1st, while Verizon has yet to confirm a release date.
