After the update was released to users on AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon, LG has begun rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo to unlocked variants of last year’s V30. The upgrade carries the March security patch and should be downloaded over Wi-Fi to prevent any data overage charges.
The Android Oreo upgrade for the V30 includes standard Oreo things like picture-in-picture, better battery life, improved speeds, and more. However, V30 owners can also expect the same ThinQ features we saw on the V30S which includes a new AI Cam that can help improve your photography game. While nothing major, this upgrade is certainly welcome.
To install, head to the software updates section of the Settings app on your V30. It may take some time for all users to get Oreo so if you don’t see it today, it’ll likely reach your device in the coming days.
