This Might Be the Baseline OnePlus 7

OnePlus will likely announce the OnePlus 7 series of phones on May 14th, and today, we might be getting a look at the baseline version of the device. New CAD renders of the phone courtesy of OnLeaks and Pricebaba have appeared online, showcasing a device that looks very identical to last year’s OnePlus 6T with a teardrop notch and no pop-up selfie camera.

The design we’re seeing today is a pretty big departure over what the presumed OnePlus 7 Pro will feature. Whereas the standard 7 will play things safe, the 7 Pro will maximize screen real estate by opting for no notch and a motorized pop-up selfie camera. Betting on a design of that nature can be risky, though, so it makes sense for OnePlus to want to protect its bottom line with a phone that’s much more familiar to past OnePlus device owners.

With the standard OnePlus 7, rumors point to a package consisting of a smaller 6.2-inch screen, a Snapdragon 855 processor, up to 10GB of RAM, and a 4,150mAh battery. We’ll likely learn more about the phone in the coming weeks leading up to its inevitable unveiling.
