“Can’t nothin’ stop me, I’m on a roll.” These are Logic’s opening lines to his song Yuck off his 2018 mixtape Bobby Tarantino II. Those words couldn’t reign truer as the rapper-turned-author is now a number-one New York Times bestselling author two weeks in a row.
After the book shot to the #1 slot during its debut, Supermarket, a psychological thriller based in a grocery store, has been certified a #1 NYT Bestseller for the second week in a row. Logic took to social media to announce the news.
Indication that Bobby Hall had a number-one seller on his hands began when the book went up for pre-order. Interested readers and members of the RattPack (Logic’s fan club) pre-ordered enough copies so that at this point, Hall would be closing in on 100,000 copies sold, giving him the #1 slot for a second week.
He isn’t done yet, of course. Hall has stated in past interviews he’s working on a second sci-fi novel along with a new album entitled Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. He released the title track almost a month ago along with a bloody music video. Logic will also star in a movie he co-wrote entitled Everything Must Go which will be produced by J.J. Abrams’ production company, Bad Robot.
