This year at CES, we’re seeing a lot of companies begin partnering with Apple in order to add AirPlay 2 and HomeKit to their TVs. Following the likes of Samsung, LG, and Vizio, Sony has announced it will add the two features to its Z9G series, A9G series, and X950G series televisions.
With AirPlay 2 and HomeKit on Sony’s televisions, you’ll be able to enjoy movies and TV shows inside your iTunes library along with Apple Music, your iTunes music library, podcasts, and more. Basically, you get the same suite of features as every other manufacturer who adds the technologies to their televisions. Sony says they plan to release AirPlay and HomeKit compatibility later this year.
