Samsung Confirms Foldable Phone Will Also Work Like a Tablet

Samsung’s foldable smartphone has been rumored for a number of years at this point, and we’re finally starting to learn some concrete details about the device and what features it’ll have. Today in a new CNET article, Samsung mobile chief DJ Koh confirmed that when open, the company’s foldable handset will mimic the experience that of a tablet.

Of course, this might seem obvious at first, but it’s nice to hear confirmation surrounding this speculation regardless. We’ve seen companies try dual-screen phones that were technically “foldable” but didn’t provide a good enough experience. Considering Samsung’s screen will be the part that folds, there’s a good chance apps, games, and videos will all look better on what the company offers compared to competitors.

It’s been said in the past Samsung will unveil its foldable smartphone next month during the company’s developer conference. If they do, we’ll be sure to cover it.
