After months and months in anticipation, Reddit has finally launched their official iOS and Android apps to the world. Before these apps were available, users were forced to use third-party tools to communicate with the world on the social networking site on their mobile devices. Now, they have the option of sticking with their current app or going with the company’s official software.
With the official Reddit app, you can:
- Browse all of Reddit, wherever you are
- Search and discover communities by topic or interest
- Submit your own comments, images, links, and stories for others to view and discuss
- Customize Reddit with themes (including night theme)
- View in either compact view or card view
- Stay up to date with your orangereds with Inbox: messages, comment replies, post replies, and mentions …
As I mentioned above, you have a choice now between using Reddit’s official app or a third-party utility, so in order to convince you to switch, the social network is offering users three months of Reddit Gold by simply just logging in to their official app once. Once that’s done, you’ll have the premium version of Reddit until July, and I say that because you only have one week to sign in to the app to take advantage of this offer, so hurry up!
Reddit: The Official App is now available for download from the App Store and Google Play.
