Rejoice, original Star Wars lovers! According to a report by Entertainment Weekly, the first three films in the world famous sci-fi saga will be screened in select Alamo Drafthouse theaters in 20 cities this August across the USA. These films consist of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. And the best part? They’re all gonna play back-to-back! The worst part? The versions of the movies being played will be in the 1997 re-release format, however this shouldn’t be an issue to die hard fans of the films.
If you want tickets, you’ll have to wait until May 4th, otherwise known as Star Wars Day since “May the Force be with you” sounds like “May the Fourth be with you”. ReturnOfTheTrilogy.com will be the location where tickets will be available for purchase, however it’s unclear at this time exactly how much they’ll cost.
