OnePlus is hosting its biggest event ever in New York on May 14th where it’ll unveil the new OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. We’ve seen plenty of leaks and reports hit the web claiming what the devices will feature, and now, we’re essentially getting confirmation about one feature in particular directly from OnePlus.
In a new teaser posted to the company’s Twitter account, OnePlus confirms it’ll include a triple camera array on the back of the OnePlus 7 Pro. I mention the Pro because of the hashtag in the tweet. There’s a chance the standard 7 will include them, but we don’t know for sure.
Rumors suggest OnePlus will include a normal camera, a telephoto camera, and an ultra-wide camera on the OnePlus 7 Pro. This falls in line with the same camera arrays as other devices like the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus. OnePlus will be directly competing with these more costly options this time around, so it makes sense for them to include the necessary features in order to fit in.
Unfortunately, we don’t know the exact specifications of the cameras just yet. In fact, we’re not even sure if the company will include an ultra-wide sensor at all. OnePlus might surprise (and disappoint) us all by including an additional depth sensor. Right now, there are too many uncertainties, so we’ll have to wait it out and see what happens at OnePlus’ event.
I’m working to get into the OnePlus 7 event now, so be sure to stay tuned to my Twitter. I’ll let you know if I make it in.
