OnePlus has announced a launch event for May 14th where the company will unveil the new OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. The company will hold three simultaneous events on the 14th in New York, London, and Bangalore, with the flagship event occurring in NYC at Pier 94. An event in Beijing will be held on May 16th.
For non-press members, OnePlus will be selling tickets to the launch event at a discounted rate of $20. Those who want to go to the London event will pay £16 or €18. These prices will only be good for the first 48 hours of ticket availability so be sure to purchase one as soon as possible if you want to attend.
At the event, OnePlus will unveil its new OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro flagships for 2019. We already have a pretty good idea of what both phones will offer, as leaks and rumors have been ample this cycle. We’ll get a similar phone to the 6T with the OnePlus 7 which should feature a 6.2-inch screen, a Snapdragon 855 processor, up to 8 or 10GB of RAM, dual rear cameras, and a beefy battery.
It’s in the case of the OnePlus 7 Pro where things start to get interesting. This phone will ship with what OnePlus calls a “breakthrough” display. It’ll feature a refresh rate of 90Hz for smoother animations, according to rumors, and offer a notch-less experience. There will be a pop-up selfie camera at the top of the device along with a third, ultra-wide rear camera. There will also be similar specs to the lower-end OnePlus 7 like the Snapdragon 855 and 10GB of RAM.
