OnePlus is holding its biggest event ever next week in New York where the company will unveil the new OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. We’ve heard a ton about the latter so far, with OnePlus regularly teasing new features on its social media accounts. But as far as the former goes, we’ve only heard a few rumors and seen a couple of leaks. Today, though, WinFuture is showing the device some love with a new report that details the device.
In the report, we get new high-res renders of the standard OnePlus 7 which will look strikingly similar to that of the OnePlus 6T from last year. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing since that phone comes with a tiny notch, a slim form factor, and a solid weight. On the contrary, OnePlus will focus on specs with the standard 7 rather the design, and it could prove worth it in the end.
With the OnePlus 7, WinFuture says to expect a 6.41-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340×1080, a Snapdragon 855 processor, 6 to 8GB of RAM, and 128 or 256GB of storage. On the back, OnePlus will bring over its main 48MP camera found on the OnePlus 7 Pro along with a secondary, depth-sensing 5MP shooter. There will also be a 3,700mAh battery, a USB-C port, a notification slider, and a bottom-firing speaker.
Overall, the OnePlus 7 will likely be very incremental when compared to the radically different OnePlus 7 Pro. It’ll be interesting to see which one consumers respond to the best. We won’t have much longer to wait to find out as both phones will be unveiled on May 14th. We’ll be live at the event so be sure to stay tuned for updates.
