Twitter has announced via (what else?) a tweet that their content and news discovery feature Moments (previously an exclusive to publishers and select content creators) is now open to the public which allows users of the popular social network to create their own moments stories complete with a custom cover image. Your own or someone else’s tweets can all be used when creating Moments, while select user’s creations will be featured in the Moments tab on both the Twitter mobile apps and Twitter.com.

To create a moment, head over to your Twitter profile and select the Moments tab. This is where a button on the right side of your screen will appear that reads “Create new Moment.” Once you click this link, you’ll be able to add various tweets to your Moment alongside your own custom featured image either chosen yourself via a file on your computer or a picture displayed from within a tweet you included in your Moment. I recently made my own Moment featuring some of the latest tweets about Google’s upcoming Pixel smartphones which you can view below.
Right now, users can only create Moments on their laptop or PC via Twitter.com. However, the feature should be rolling out to mobile users in the near future.
