Nokia’s 6.1 is Coming to the US w/ 5.5-inch Display, Snapdragon 630, Android Oreo for $269

Earlier this year, Nokia unveiled the second generation Nokia 6 which succeeded arguably the company’s most popular smartphone of 2017. Before, it was exclusive to international markest, but the company now says it’s bringing the device to the United States via Amazon and Best Buy beginning this Sunday.

Called the Nokia 6.1 in the States, the phone features a traditional 5.5-inch 1080p 16:9 display, a Snapdragon 630 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32 or 64GB of storage, a 3,000mAh battery, a 16MP rear camera, a headphone jack, and a USB-C port. It’ll also ship with Android 8.0 Oreo right out of the box with two years of guaranteed upgrades.

Overall, the device seems like a pretty nice mid-ranger. It’ll retail for $269 which, while is more expensive than the original $229 of the standard Nokia 6, still puts the Nokia 6.1 in a place below many other devices with similar specs.
