Earlier this month during Build 2019, Microsoft offered the first glimpse of its new Chromium-based Edge web browser running on macOS. While it didn’t make the software available to the public that day, it did wait until this point to release it.
Available starting today, Microsoft is now offering a public beta of the new Edge browser on Mac. You’ll have to be running macOS 10.12 or above in order to use it. The browser includes the same feature set as its Windows 10 counterpart with password syncing, a similar UI, and a Chromium engine. Exclusive to the Mac is Touch Bar support, giving you quick access to things like bookmarks and tabs.
