Today must be an Event Announcement Day in the tech industry. Not only did we learn when OnePlus will unveil its new 7T smartphones, we also now know when Google plans on unveiling the Pixel 4. Now, we’re hearing about Microsoft’s next Build developer conference, a conference that won’t be happening until the end of May 2020.
According to Microsoft’s blog post which lists multiple upcoming events the company is hosting, Build 2020 will take place between May 19th and 21st, 2020. The company hasn’t specified when the annual keynote will take place, but history tells us it usually happens on the first day of the conference.
So far, we haven’t heard anything about what Microsoft might unveil at Build 2020. Lately, all focus has been on the company’s upcoming Surface event scheduled for October 2nd. That’s where Microsoft is likely to unveil upgraded Surface devices, some new products, and tweaks to Windows 10. But as far as what next year’s Build keynote will bring, that remains a mystery.
That being said, time flies, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we start hearing whispers about Build 2020 here and there. Don’t hold your breath until the conference, though, because that would be stupid.
