Apple has released the sixth beta of macOS Mojave for testing on the Mac. This comes one week after the fifth build was seeded.
To install macOS Mojave beta 6 on your Mac, head over to the Updates tab in the Mac App Store. From there, check for updates and you should spot the upgraded build ready to be download. Hit download and wait for it to finish installing. You’ll want to plug in your MacBook before installing the beta to ensure you don’t run out of juice. Otherwise, sit back and be patient.
macOS Mojave packs lots of features that are friendly to both casual and professional users. It includes a system-wide dark mode, Stacks for organizing your files on your desktop, improvements to the built-in Finder, improvements to screenshots, group FaceTime calls, Metal 2, and more. It’s a pretty significant overall upgrade that will only get better as we draw closer to its final release.
As far as what’s new in the latest beta of macOS Mojave, Apple is including a new Migration Assistant that lets users move data like accounts, documents, email, their contacts, and their calendar from both their old PC’s hard drive and third-party apps like Microsoft Outlook. Before, this feature wasn’t possible and only a limited amount of data could be migrated to your new Macintosh. However, with macOS 10.14, this will change.
