LG Will Unveil the V40 ThinQ on October 3rd

LG has begun inviting media members to an event in New York City where the company will debut its new V40 ThinQ smartphone. The company has been pushing out smartphones all year long, what with the V30S, G7, and V35 all hitting the market before the second half of 2018. Now, LG looks to round off its year of flagships with a true successor to last year’s V30.

Reports and leaks have pegged the V40 as having a 6.3-inch OLED display with a notch, a Snapdragon 845 processor, likely 6GB of RAM, a quad DAC, a headphone jack, a Boombox speaker, a 3,300mAh battery, and side-mounted power and Google Assistant buttons. The phone will also be among the first devices to ship with as many as five cameras, with three on the back and two up front. Presumably, this will allow for different functions such as a wide-angle view, lossless zoom, and improved portrait mode shots.

Other than these features, we’re still a bit blurry as to what exactly the V40 will feature. Be sure to stay tuned as we’ll be covering all the news that comes out of the event.
