OnePlus cemented its place in the top smartphone category of every 2019 tech award show with the OnePlus 7 Pro earlier this year. Despite this, though, the company wants to outdo itself like it does every year with an upgraded iteration of its initial flagship. Last year, we got the OnePlus 6T which was fantastic, and this year, it looks like we’ll be getting a OnePlus 7T.
If you don’t believe me, go by these new renders that just leaked thanks to OnLeaks and PriceBaba.
If you’re like me, at first, you’ll probably think you’re looking at the standard OnePlus 7 or even the 6T from last year in these renders. Despite the front fascia of the 7T looking eerily similar to OnePlus phones of the past, I can assure you this is what’s believed to be the OnePlus 7T, and that’s evident thanks to the rear cameras.

I couldn’t tell you why OnePlus is opting for such a strange rear camera setup, but innovation has to keep evolving. For the 7T, the company will be housing all three rear cameras in a weird circular enclosure that includes angled lines to divide each sensor from one another. There’s a good chance these cameras will offer a main sensor, a telephoto sensor, and an ultra-wide sensor like the 7 Pro.
Seriously, though, this camera enclosure is weird. I’m into it, but it’s weird.
Outside from this blatantly obvious distinction, there isn’t much else to differentiate the 7T from past OnoePlus phones, It looks like we’ll still be getting a glossy glass phone with a teardrop notch above the display, a power button and alert slider on the right, volume keys on the left, and a USB-C port on the bottom.
All this being said, we have yet to see renders of a OnePlus 7T Pro. That phone will likely be more interesting than the 7T, but we can’t confirm this until we start seeing some leaks. But with the 7T beginning to surface online, there’s a good chance more images and renders of future OnePlus phones will make their way to the World Wide Web.
