We’ve all been anticipating the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming for quite some time now, and there’s definitely been no lack of leaks to ease our eagerness at least a little. The latest of these leaks concerns one of the villains in the film and what he might look like when the movie hits theaters.
Yes folks, we’re talking about Vulture (of course, you already knew that when you read the headline). According to a Reddit post claiming to leak an image (now featured on Imgur) of what appears to be a rendering of the evil human-bird “hybrid”‘s action figure that’ll be released to toy stores across the nation, Vulture will look much different from what fans of Spider-Man are used to. Gone is the full-fledged green feather and beak look and instead is swapped out for a tan-colored jacket, mechanical hovering wings, boots with talens, distressed pants/jeans(?), and some sort of helmet. Have a look for yourself.
If you recall, back in July, official concept art of Spider-Man battling Vulture in Homecoming was released which depicted the villain as appearing like this:
As you can see, Vulture’s wings in this image are much wider than they appear in the first photo, however this may be an alteration simply for the action figure itself and won’t be the case for the film. We can’t confirm this, but there’s definitely a possibility.
Other than this difference, there’s plenty the same between the two pictures. The same jacket, boots, helmet, and pants are present, while the wings sport some similarities like the (presumably) mechanical hover engines. While we can’t say for sure the most recently leaked photo is legit, we can say that it bears a striking resemblance to the current official images we’ve seen so far. Of course, if new information is gained, we’ll let you know.
Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theaters July 7th, 2017.
