The Unicode Consortium recently accepted the updated Unicode 9 emoji set that contains 74 new emojis that companies like Apple and Google will soon be able to add to their software keyboards. The final decision of which emojis will appear in Unicode 9.0 will happen later this year, but not too much later, as the set launch date of Unicode 9 is scheduled for June, which, if you haven’t already noticed, is when Apple usually holds their annual World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) to unveil new software and sometimes hardware. iOS 10 is expected to make it’s debut at the keynote this summer with lots of new features, and these new emojis could be one of them.
