ICYMI: Samsung Galaxy J3 Launches in the U.S. on Virgin and Boost Mobile

In case you missed it, Samsung has launched their budget-friendly Galaxy J3 smartphone on Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile, alongside a few other independent wireless retailers. One of the most attractive features of this smartphone is it’s price: the Galaxy J3 will only run you $180. That’s about a third of the price of the Galaxy S6.

This budget handset is packing a 5-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1.2Ghz quad-core processor, a 2600mAh battery, a 5MP rear and 2MP front cameras, and 16GB of internal storage.

Overall, this is a very decent handset, perfect for your family member or college that isn’t too tech savvy. The J3 also features an “Easy Mode”, which makes all the text bigger along with making the phone’s interface a lot simpler, making this the perfect smartphone for those non-techies in your life. Even if grandma or grandpa want a cool smartphone “like everyone else has” so they can go on Facebook like a boss, the J3’s gonna be nice ‘n’ easy for them to figure out.
