Back at MWC 2018, Huawei unveiled its new Matebook Pro X which packs a lot more heat than the original Matebook, slims down the display bezels, and hides the webcam in a pretty clever yet unflattering location. We didn’t know any pricing or release information at that time, but now we do.
According to Huawei, the Matebook Pro X starts at $1,199 and is available starting today in the US. This gets you an Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB of RAM, integrated graphics, and 256GB of SSD storage. If you opt for the $1,499 model, you’ll get an i7 with 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and dedicated Nvidia GeForce MX150 graphics. Both models are available from Huawei’s website.
Other specs surrounding the Matebook Pro X include a 13.9-inch 3000×2000 touchscreen with slim bezels, a webcam built into one of the Function keys that springs to life when physically depressed, up to 15 hours of battery, two USB-C ports, a USB-A port, a headphone jack, Dolby Atmos sound, and 360-degree microphones.
