After unveiling the new service back at I/O 2018, Google has finally begun rolling out its Google One plan to all users. The plan is essentially an upgraded version of Google Drive in which it covers storage for services including Drive, Photos, and all other Google services under one umbrella and one monthly fee.
Recently, we introduced Google One, a plan that gives you expanded storage and helps you get more out of Google. Over the past few months, people with Google Drive paid plans have been upgraded to Google One. And starting today, people in the U.S. can choose to upgrade to Google One.
With Google One, your files are stored in Google’s cloud services. All users get 15GB of space each month for free, and you can choose to upgrade that for a set monthly fee. For instance, 100GB of storage costs $1.99/month, 200GB costs $2.99/month, and 2TB costs just $9.99/month.
You also get special perks when you sign up. Google says Google One users gain access to 24/7 customer support along with Google Store and Google Express benefits. The company says to expect more on this subject in the future.
Finally, Google says you can add family members to your Google ONe plan for a more simplified monthly bill.
