Ahead of next week’s event in California where the company will unveil its new Pixel 3 smartphones, Google has gone ahead and announced a new variant of its Home Mini smart speaker. According to the company, the device will now be available in a new Aqua finish which should compliment any blue-infused aesthetic you have in your home better than most of the other colors previously available. This new variant will cost $49 and exclusively be sold through the Google Store and Walmart.
Besides the new color, the Home Mini is remaining identical in every way. It still has an okay speaker, far-field microphones, the Google Assistant with all its Actions, and the same form factor and materials. Hopefully, at some point in the future, Google will give the Home Mini a refresh with, at the very least, a better speaker, similar to what Amazon recently launched.
