At its I/O 2018 keynote today, Google announced it will soon introduce Smart Compose for Gmail.
Using the company’s machine learning technology, Gmail will soon allow users to begin typing out an email to a friend or colleague and see autofill suggestions to complete your message. Smart Compose will read your data such as your address and the name of the person you’re emailing to make suggestions. You’ll be able to turn it on or off manually which is nice to know since the suggestions might not be all that helpful to everyone.
Google says the feature will be enabled for all Gmail users this month.
