Fortnite for Android Might Exclusively Launch with the Galaxy Note 9

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 is coming early next month, and it looks like it could launch with an exclusive game that’s been one of the hottest topics among young people for over a year. According to 9to5Google and XDA-Developers, Samsung may’ve come to an agreement with the developers behind Fortnite and reached a deal to launch the game on Android with 30-day exclusivity to Note 9 buyers.

The publications quote sources who claim the game will exclusively reside with the Note 9 for about a month after the phone launches. Then, later in September, Fornite will become available for all Android users. This will reportedly be a part of a promotion Samsung is planning to market the Note 9.

Thanks to the deal, those who buy a Note 9 will even get some nice perks within Fortnite such as $100-$150 worth of V-Bucks for in-game use. For those who don’t play the game, you’ll be eligible for free wireless AKG headphones worth around the same amount.

And just in case you’re wondering, there are even reports that Samsung found a way to integrate the S Pen into the Fortnite gameplay. We’re not sure of any details surrounding this, but that alone should tell you how much the company cares about their partnership with Epic Games.

Samsung’s been teasing the Note 9 leading up to its launch by highlighting features such as its performance, storage amount, and battery life. Those three factors should add up to a smartphone perfectly capable of high-end gameplay, therefore giving Fortnite players a good reason to buy the device. Of course, we’ll need to wait until we know everything before making any judgments as to whether you should buy the phone for gaming purposes, but for now, things look promising.
