Google has begun to roll out this month’s security patch to their Nexus devices along with the Pixel C. The update comes due to Google making a promise a number of months ago that they’d roll out a fresh security fix every month for their devices.
According to this month’s security bulletin, Android and Chrome security teams along with independent researchers have spotted 10 different bugs that have been fixed in the new build. The flaws range from moderate to critical in severity with a majority of bugs dealing with Wi-Fi drivers that would allow remote code execution, though Google notes that there are no reports of customers who have been affected by these issues.

For help flashing the image to your device, follow Google’s instructions via this link. As a warning, flashing a factory image to your device will erase any data stored on it, so if you don’t wanna lose everything, we suggest patiently waiting for the OTA update which should come this week to your Nexus.
