Apple has updated their various subscription options for their music streaming service Apple Music to include a student discount option. If you are attending an eligible university or college and qualify as a student to a school of that nature, Apple will allow you to subscribe to Apple Music for $4.99 per month for up to 4 years. The company and UNiDAYs have teamed up to verify students who sign up for the student discount and confirm they’re legitimate.
A student Apple Music discount is currently available in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia and other countries according to TechCrunch. Due to different money values, the price of the 50% discount on Apple Music may vary, however they all should be around the same.
If you think you’re a qualifying student and already have Apple Music, never fear. You can opt in to receive the exclusive discount once your verified as a legit student by signing up for the special subscription.
The three plans currently available now as a part of Apple Music are an Individual plan for $9.99/month, a Family plan for $14.99/month which allows up to 6 family members to share the same account, and now a Student plan which is a cheaper version of the Individual plan for $4.99/month.
