20th Century Fox exec Stacey Snider has confirmed that for the upcoming Deadpool sequel, Ryan Reynolds will be returning to reprise his role as the wise-cracking superhero the film got it’s title from. The news broke during a CinemaCon panel today where Snider also stated that director Tim Miller and the entire creative team behind the movie will also be returning to produce the second film of what fans hope an ever going franchise.
If Deadpool 2 is anything like the original, it’ll probably break even more box office records, what with Deadpool setting the record for highest-grossing R-rated movie ever, racking in over $757 million worldwide. No doubt will the studio try to keep the same inappropriate jokes and personalities from all the characters in the upcoming movie in order to be successful, because, y’know, when you make a movie, you want it to be successful.
