Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War has already met much praise amongst early viewers and grossed over $200 million before Americans could even see the film in movie theaters. And now that Civil War has premiered in the U.S., another $181+ million has been collected. This sets the film at the #5 spot for biggest opening weekends ever in the States.
Around the world, Civil War has reached $678.4 million in total so far. $220 million of that belongs to international markets, while $95.8 million is from China, setting a record for second biggest movie opening ever right behind Transformers: Age of Extinction.
