Apple is expected to unveil redesigned iPad Pros later this year with slimmer bezels, a gesture-based navigation system, and Face ID. We’ve heard plenty of reports about the devices up until this point, but none of them have been as concrete as the evidence we have now that suggests these new devices are, indeed, coming.
As discovered by 9to5Mac, code within the first iOS 12.1 beta hints that there’s at least one new iPad coming this fall. The string “iPad2018fall” was found within the software, giving us confirmation Apple isn’t done with its device lineup for the year. In addition, there’s also evidence that iCloud syncing for Memoji is also coming, a feature many would likely want if both their iPhone and iPad were compatible with Animoji.
While nothing has been formally confirmed just yet, we don’t expect to have to wait much longer. Apple is said to host an event next month where it’ll likely take the wraps off the new iPad Pros and, possibly, upgraded Macs. Stay tuned.
