Apple’s Opening a Store in the World Trade Center

Apple has officially announced that they’re opening a new retail Store right inside the World Trade Center. Apparently, this location was a long-time rumor for a good place where Cupertino would/could open their 10th store in NYC, and it looks like the technology giant agrees.

As per their announcement page on their website, the exact location of the store is 185 Greenwich Street in New York, NY. To be more precise, the Store will be located in the lower level shopping section of the Oculus Transportation Hub. And in case this location doesn’t ring a bell, this area of the World Trade Center actually went well over budget when construction was occurring, resulting in over $3.9 billion being spent. March 4th, 2016 was the exact date of this area’s opening to the public, so it’s relatively new.

August 16th is the date of the grand opening, while 12:00PM ET will be when the doors will officially open to the public. Apple says that they’ve got “someone special” for customers when the store opens, so make sure you get there to find out what it is.

Hours for the new Apple retail location are as follows:

  • Monday – Friday: 8AM – 9PM
  • Saturday: 10AM – 9PM
  • Sunday: 11AM – 7PM

As is the case with all Apple Stores nowadays, a Genius Bar will be present. There will also be various Workshops you can attend to learn more about your Apple device. These classes will begin the next day, August 17th at 9AM.

We likely won’t get any images of the newest Apple Store until it officially opens, however if we do obtain some pictures, we’ll update this post with a gallery or slideshow.
