Many of you probably own an iOS device like an iPhone or iPad and need help on the regular. you could try connecting directly with Apple Support, but sometimes representatives are too busy or you need further assistance. That’s where Apple’s new Support app for iOS comes in, a utility that allows users to schedule Genius Bar appointments, get help on the fly, view support articles, and more to make using your iOS device easier.
Need help? Apple Support app is your personalized guide to the best options from Apple. Find answers with articles tailored to your products and questions. Call, chat or email with an expert right away, or schedule a callback when it’s convenient. Get a repair at an Apple Store or a nearby Apple Authorized Service Provider. Apple Support is here to help.
As you can see, not only can Support help you with software-based issues like failure to send an email or access the internet, but it can also help you if you accidentally crack your screen or experience hardware-based problems. Of course, you’ll be directed to set up a Genius Bar appointment anyway, but it nevertheless makes the process a bit more convenient to go through.
If you recall, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Apple’s Support app. Back at the beginning of last month, those in the Netherlands gained access to the app, and of course, we told you about it. It’s also not the first time we’ve seen a support system like this, as Google recently added a support tab in the Settings app of the Pixel and Nexus devices, creating a similar but slimmed down version of what Apple’s app offers. And with more and more people depending on services like this to get help, it only makes sense for Apple to jump in the ring now and not later when “the technology perfects.”
Oh, and don’t think the Apple Support Twitter page is going anywhere because that’s here to stay.
You can download Apple Support from the App Store now for free.
