Apple has begun to roll out the third beta of OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 to public beta testers around the world. This comes just two days after the company made the developer beta of the software upgrade live.
While the third public beta of OS X 10.11.4 remains with a build number of 15E39c, the developer beta has received a build update to 15E39d, however there is really nothing different between the two.
So what’s new in the latest build? Well, now users can migrate notes from services such as Evernote to the built-in Notes app with a new “Import Notes…” function built into the Apple app. Notes now also lets users import .txt and .rtf text files into the app with iCloud syncing the data back to iPhones, iPads, and the web. This all comes alongside the previously mentioned fixes and updates (Live Photos in Messages, pass-word/code protected notes in the Notes app, and fixes specifically targeted towards iBooks, Messages, Notes, and Photos).
Public beta testers can download the latest build by going to the “Updates” tab in the Mac App Store. Normally (if not always), Apple will send you a notification letting you know that a new build is available for download, so as soon as you get that, start downloading!
