Following the release of the second iOS 13 beta, Apple today released the second beta of macOS Catalina for testing on the Mac. The beta is only available to registered developers. Public testers will get the software next month.
macOS Catalina has a pretty decent list of new features that will be brought to compatible Mac laptops and desktops. Here’s a rundown of some of the most anticipated.

- Sidecar: allowing you to use an iPad as a secondary monitor for your MacBook

The new build can be installed by heading over to the System Preferences section of the Settings app. From there, hit “Software Update” and you should spot the upgrade ready to be download. Hit download and wait for it to finish installing. You’ll want to plug in your MacBook before installing the update to ensure you don’t run out of juice. Otherwise, sit back and be patient.
