Alongside iOS 9.3, Apple has released OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 to the public for installation on iMacs, Mac Pros, and MacBooks around the world. This comes after a pretty lengthy beta process we followed for over two months.
OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 brings features to the Mac such as Live Photos in Messages, pass-word/code protected notes in the Notes app along with the ability to import notes via a text file from such a service as Evernote using a new “Import Notes…” function, and fixes specifically targeted towards iBooks, Messages, Notes, and Photos. The update is also expected to resolve the issue with opening Twitter URL links in Safari. iTunes 12.3.3 is also available for the Mac as well as Windows PCs. It’s expected to improve the Apple Music experience as well as add support for the recently announced iPhone SE and 9.7-inch iPad Pro.
To update your Mac, visit the App Store and go to the “Updates” tab. There, you should see both the OS X and iTunes updates available for download. Simply click “Download” on both updates and you’re good to go! They’ll begin installing shortly afterward and your Mac will automatically be restarted.
