Alongside iOS 12.1.1, Apple today released macOS Mojave 10.14.2 for Mac users everywhere as a free upgrade. The new software can be installed by heading over to the System Preferences section of the Settings app. From there, hit “Software Update” and you should spot the upgrade ready to be download. Hit download and wait for it to finish installing. You’ll want to plug in your MacBook before installing the update to ensure you don’t run out of juice. Otherwise, sit back and be patient.
macOS Mojave 10.14.2 includes mainly under-the-hood improvements such as bug fixes and security enhancements. There are also some minor tweaks such as real-time text support for Wi-Fi calling and a new menu item in the News app for opening stories in Safari. Other than these, though, you can expect simple incremental improvements overall.
