Apple Makes watchOS 2.2 Available to Public

Following the releases of iOS 9.3 and OS X El Capitan 10.11.4, Apple has made watchOS 2.2 available to all Apple Watch owners around the world for download and installation. This comes after a lengthy beta process comes to a close which we followed for over two months.

watchOS 2.2 includes features such as the ability to pair multiple Apple Watches to a single iPhone (as long as the iPhone in hand has iOS 9.3) and improvements in the Maps app, including the “Nearby” function first introduced in iOS 9.0.

To update your Apple Watch to the latest version, on your iPhone, open the Watch app and scroll until you find Software Update. Then, plug in your Watch and download and install the update. It’ll take some time, so that’s why I told you to plug in your Watch so it doesn’t die before the installation is over.
