Amazon has announced it’s beginning to roll out the ability to follow artists through Alexa. As a part of Amazon Music, New Release Notifications will allow you to follow your favorite artists and automatically get notified through Alexa when specific artists have a new project or single out. According to the company, a yellow ring will appear on your Echo followed by a message letting you know there’s new music worth checking out.
To follow an artist, you simply ask Alexa to follow someone in particular like Future, Alessia Cara, or Florida Georgia Line. Afterward, you’ll get notifications every time that artist releases new music, both through your Echo and your smartphone or tablet. Of course, if you prefer, you can also follow artists directly through the Amazon Music interface.
The feature’s rolling out now to all users of Amazon’s services.
