Acer’s Swift 7 laptop has been known to be one of the thinnest (if not the thinnest) laptops on the market and it remains competitive with each new iteration. Now, via an announcement at IFA 2018, we’re learning there’s an even thinner version coming with slimmer bezels and better specs.
According to Acer, the new Swift 7 will weigh less than 2.2 pounds and measure in at less than 10mm thick. What’s more, the bezels surrounding the 14-inch screen have been significantly reduced to just 4.27mm. The overall footprint of the device will also shrink by around 15 percent.
Instead of option for something lower-powered or more efficient, Acer has decided to include a full-fledged 8th-generation Intel Core i7 processor in the new Swift 7. However, other than this specification, we’re really not sure what else the device will include. We’ll have to wait for Acer to unveil more details in the near future.
Much like the specs, we’re also not sure how much the new Swift 7 will cost or when it’ll become available. We’ll be sure to let you know when we know more about the device.
