Report: Michael Keaton in Final Talks to Play Villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming

A report by THR claims that Michael Keaton is currently in “final negotiations” to be cast as the main villain in Marvel’s upcoming film Spider-Man: Homecoming. The actor, who recenlty played the main character in the movie Birdman, was rumored recently to play the Vulture in the web slinger’s new motion picture, however he also might play a character such as the Hobgoblin, however the former seems a bit more fitting considering his history.

If Keaton joins the cast of Homecoming, he’ll be amongst other popular stars such as Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), Zendaya (Peter Parker’s possible love interest), and obviously Tom Holland who will all be featured in the upcoming film.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will swing into theaters July 7th, 2017.
