Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 is rumored to be coming this August alongside an Edge variant of itself. The device is reportedly going to feature the upcoming Snapdragon 823 processor, 6GB of RAM, a 5.8-inch QHD display, and a 4,000mAh battery. However, the exact date of the unveiling isn’t set yet. Well, it might be…
According to this leaked image, it appears that someone got an invite to Samsung’s Unpacked summer event where we’ll first meet the Galaxy Note 7 early. The invite states that the date of the keynote will be August 2nd and be held at Alice Tully Hall in New York at 11AM ET. Multiple “7”s appear to be featured which are made out of probable edges, leading to the speculation that there will in fact be a Note 7 Edge available. There’s also the phrase, “The next edge is just around the corner” which also points to an upcoming Samsung Edge smartphone. It could also mean that the standard Note 7 with sport dual-edges, however since most rumors are pointing to two devices, you should come to expect a couple of announcements from Samsung.
It’s hard to tell whether this invite is real or not. It looks official, but at the same time a bit fake. Nonetheless, we’re gonna have to wait until this date and time to see if it is, in fact, legit. Or, y’know, until we’re sure Samsung is sending out invites.
As more and more rumors about the Note 7 and 7 Edge begin leaking out, we’ll publish more articles on the subject before the next Unpacked event comes up.
Do you think this is a legit invite from Samsung and just sent out too early?
