Throughout 2019, we’ve been hearing rumor after rumor about Motorola’s upcoming Razr phone that will feature a foldable display, much like the Galaxy Fold. Only with the Razr, instead of unfolding to a tablet, you’ll unfold it like a flip phone and be presented by a very tall, 6.2-inch screen. It’s essentially a much more modern take on the classic Razr, and I’m here for it.
Luckily, it looks like we don’t have to wait much longer before the phone is unveiled. Motorola has invited members of the press (via CNET) to an event in Los Angeles on November 13th where the company will unveil “an original unlike any other.” The invite’s animation shows something folding and unfolding repeatedly, while the company’s tagline “You’re going to flip” gives us further confirmation that this is, indeed, the foldable Razr.
The Motorola Razr will reportedly come with a 6.2-inch display, a Snapdragon 710 processor, 4 or 6GB of RAM, up to 128GB of storage, a couple of cameras, a 2,730mAh battery, and a price tag of around $1,500. It isn’t clear when the phone might come out, but given its unveiling is set for November 13th, there’s a chance it could start shipping by the holidays.
