Google Chrome 73 Rolling Out with Dark Mode Support on macOS

Google has begun rolling out version 73 of its Chrome web browser to users on all supported platforms. With the update, you get some new UI tweaks, Omnibar link shorts, “Lite” page support, and a few under-the-hood changes. But the biggest change of them all is the added dark mode support for macOS.

If you have macOS’ dark mode enabled on your Mac, Google Chrome will automatically adjust its theme with darker tones to make it fit in with the rest of your system’s appearance. This feature has been in beta for quite some time, reaching users on Google’s various development channels in order to get the feature right. Google says Windows support is coming soon, so we’ll be sure to update you once we know more.

To update to version 73 of Google Chrome on your desktop or laptop, hit Menu > Help > About Google Chrome. On mobile, visit your device’s app store and check for updates.
