The leaks keep coming. After Apple let the names of its next iPhones slip earlier this morning, new information is beginning to surface about the devices themselves. Specifically, in the same sitemap where the iPhone Xs, Xs Max, and Xr were revealed, we also now know the Xs and Xs Max will come with up to 512GB of storage.
We’ve only really seen one other mainstream smartphone sport such a high storage capacity in the past, and that’s Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9. And to be honest, it’s a bit overkill. For most users, 256GB is enough to store everything they need, so having twice that seems a bit excessive. Still, I’m sure there’s a human out there who can fill up a 512GB phone. I just haven’t met him/her yet.
For anyone wondering, the rest of the new iPhones’ storage tiers also leaked. The iPhone Xs and Xs Max will be available with 64GB, 256GB, or 512GB of storage. Meanwhile, the iPhone Xr will come with 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB of space.
The Xr will also come in six new colors, including black, white, blue, red, yellow, and coral. On the other hand, the Xs and Xs Max will ship in standard Space Gray, Silver, and Gold finishes.
