Apple is expected to unveil three new iPhone models this year, and two of them might come with a feature that’s historically been exclusive to iPads.
According to TrendForce (via 9to5Mac), the two premium OLED iPhones might come with Apple Pencil support, opening the possibility of doodling, sketching, and taking hand-written notes right on your smartphone. We’ve heard rumors regarding Pencil support on previous upcoming iPhones, but none of them came to fruition. Who knows? Maybe this time things will be different.
In addition to this rumor, TrendForce also suggests the new OLED iPhones will come with 64, 256, and 512GB of storage, while the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone will come with 64 or 256GB. That latter device will also reportedly start at $699, making the device the most affordable way to adopt Apple’s new smartphone design. Meanwhile, the 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch models will start at somewhere between $899 and $949.
We’re inching closer and closer to the final unveiling of the new iPhones which is said to occur sometime early next month. We’ll keep you posted until then.
